Welp we officially had our first snowfall this past week and now the temperature is dipping below 20 degrees, eek. So, my mind is of course on all the cozy pieces (if only I had a fireplace to wear them by). From scarves, to hats, to sweaters, to the ultimate loungewear! I am going to cover my favorite and clients’ favorite cozy pieces for the season.
First and foremost is Barefoot Dreams. I believe this brand has cozy pieces down to a T. I often send my clients the cardigan from this brand as it is super comfy for wearing around home or even leaving at work if the AC is always at an extremely low temperature. They do make pajamas, though I have yet to try them I am sure they are worth the price. Most Barefoot Dreams products will be around the $100 price point. This may seem a little steep, but I will tell you their items are sure worth the price. As you can easily wear the cardigan for more than half the year at home or work. If you are wanting to simply dip your toes into the brand you can try their socks which come at a much less expensive price and your feet will thank you ? My personal favorite piece from them is their robe! Oh, my goodness I could go on and on about how comfy this robe is and especially perfect for putting on after a shower. The only downside these pieces do have is they shed a little bit. I would say within the first few wears you will notice the most shedding, but after that you should be good to go. And, if you are looking to give a good gift then the Barefoot Dreams blanket is a great option! You cannot go wrong with gifting the softest blanket out there. Have I sold you on the softness of this brand yet?
Next is the infamous UGG brand. I am sure everyone out there has heard of this brand and most likely tried a pair of UGGs on once in their lifetime. I can still remember the first pair of UGGs I had was in the 7th grade. I would wear them with my junior high uniforms. Think plaid skirt with a sweater and polo underneath, boy oh boy those were not the times. And guess what?! I had those pair of UGGs up until a year ago, so probably over 13 years. So, crazy! I am not sure if most people have their UGGS for that long, I most likely should have disposed of them before that, but hey they were in great condition up until a year ago when my dog finally ate them. There are so many styles and colors of UGGS. There are short boots, medium boots, tall boots, snow boots, and slippers. I love their fun-colored slippers. I mean you are only going to be wearing these at home so get a vibrant color or fun pattern. I have a slip-on platform pair in a purple color and once those ones are gone (I wear them 24/7 at home) I have my eyes on a bright pink pair. After my last pair was eaten by my dog, I finally purchased a new pair. I bought a low waterproof pair of booties. Since I recently moved to the East Coast, I needed something for cold weather while taking my dog out, and they even did well when I had to face the snow, but I do not think I would recommend them for the snow, not sure how long they would hold up if they were frequently in the snow. They even make clothes now. I do not know how their loungewear compares to Barefoot Dreams, but I can imagine their pieces to be super cozy too. They also have some fun fleece jackets available right now. Slip this jacket on with your favorite leggings and a pair of UGG boots for running errands.
Up next we have a favorite of my clients which is the True & Co bralette. Anytime I send this to a client they always write back raving how comfortable it is. This bra comes in array of sizes from 32A – 44DDD, lots of styles for all the ladies out there. You can stick with a neutral color or opt for a fun pop of color if you have all the neutrals covered. I always recommend this bralette for lounging around home. Comes in great use for those work from home days. You can wear this bralette with your favorite sweaters and tees this winter. I am definitely going to get my hands on one this year!
For the perfect bottoms for lounging around try out the Vuori joggers. These are the perfect in between for when you don’t want to wear your pajamas while working from home, but still want to feel comfortable. They have more of an athleisure feel, so you can wear them outside with sneakers too! We love our versatility. They not only have the staple colors, but right now they have a beautiful plum option that you can easily pair with your favorite neutral tops. And you can get a matching jacket to complete your athletic set.
Last is not a brand, but a winter cozy you can find from many brands, a cashmere beanie. Oh, the softness! Pick a beanie in a neutral color if you are wanting a more classic option or go with a colorful beanie with a pompom for a more fun winter look. Your head will thank you for all the softness and warmth!
I hope you are ready for all the cozies now. I think that is one of the best parts about chilly winters is getting to bundle up in all these soft pieces. Let me know if you have any favorites you have had over the years or if you have recently discovered a piece that you absolutely love!
